It's been too damn long. Oh well,
Botcon 09 was held at the Pasadena Convention center at the very end of May. Let me tell you guys it was awesome. Although small and could've used a larger area and more things to do. If you guys had seen my gallery since last month I had pictures up from my trip to said Botcon. I was cosplaying as Sideswipe and my brother was Warpath... some of you might said,"I thought Sunstreaker was your brother?" Nuff said.
My group got to the parking structure once we had just arrived. My bro and I got hurried and dressed in our cardboard costume. Disaster struck and I couldn't find my gloves over there. I was in a decent Sideswipe costume but my fleshy hands were showing and I was like, bummer. I was able to move around in my costume while my brother playing Warpath had to take six to ten seconds to make a 180 degree turn around. We were suited and ready to attend but first the tickets.
Making our way out of the structure and to the outside then crossing the street and finally we made it to the front of the convention center... long walk. Once in front, we were greeted with many fans that wanted pictures or to take pictures with us. Now this was awesome treated like big celebrities at this place. Amazing I thought and proud of myself for picking a fan favorite amongst the ladies. Sideswipe I tip my hat off to you, you gorgeous red sonavabich!
Fans, parents, and kids were actually surrounding us to take pictures with us and of course me and my brother were more than happy to take the pics with them. The picture sessions took about an hour because the demand of pictures with us... that and our party is still in the general admissions line. This is what us cosplayers love the feel of being appreciated especially the hard work putting into our costumes and people going up to us and giving us the attention we love. The girls over there talk me as if we were the characters. As Sideswipe they tell me I'm their favorite character, I'm hot, cute, sexy, and even gave me hugs. Awesome....
Our party didn't stay in line for too long because another family added us to their party spot. We gave them our most sincerest gratitude. Once in we enjoyed the exhibit hall and all the merchandise and met more photo hungry fans. Love the attention. Met Stan bush and Weird Al, totally awesome! Then we met other cosplayers and that was the depressing part. Standing next to them made me and my brother looked like a couple of very tall red turds. Long story short, awesome time and we hope Botcon comes to California again. We threw away these cardboard costumes and vow to mke much more better costumes the next time around you will see.
